Media Report: Prime Minister Modi calls upon Korean firms to invest more in India (Chosun Ilbo)

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a visit to South Korea Pavilion at the exhibition centre of the Make In India Week held in Mumbai, India on February 13 and called for more investment from Korean companies.

PM Modi said to Korean Ambassador to India Cho Hyun that "I'm well aware that Korea is contributing to 'Make in India.' I'm looking forward to more investment from Korea," said Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) on February 14.

PM Modi looked around the booths of several Korean companies, including Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction which has recently won a 350 billion won contract to build a thermal power plant in Bihar, a state in northeastern India, and Hyundai Motor which has obtained the second largest market share in the passenger vehicle segment in India.
Eight Korean companies including LG Electronics, Total Engineering, and Woosim Systems took part in the event held to showcase the achievements of 'Make in India,' an initiative launched by PM Modi to boost the country's manufacturing sector.
