Essential Criteria

• For admission to all undergraduate courses, universities/institutes of higher education in India require candidates to be in possession of Higher Secondary/ GEC ‘A' level/any other examination equivalent to +2 stage of Indian qualification (12 years of schooling) with subjects related to their chosen area of study. However, for entry into diploma programmers, the qualification should comprise of 10 years of schooling.

Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA)

Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA) Scheme of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India aims to facilitate admission in NITs/IIITs and other premier centrally funded institutions in India for Foreign Nationals / Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) / Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) for UG and PG in Engineering / Architecture / Planning and PG program in Management.  More details on the programme are available at www.dasanit.org.

Scholarships

Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) awards two scholarships

The Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) awards two scholarships for regular courses of higher studies to candidates from RoK.

1. 1. The scholarship is awarded in almost all the disciplines of regular study and also for classical dance, music, fine arts, etc. in India. 
2. 2. Applications should be routed through Embassy of India, Seoul and not directly sent to ICCR.
3. 3. The applicants are advised to go through the 'University Handbook' at the Embassy to choose a University and a course.
4. 4. The applicant must be fluent in English.

6. 6. The last date of receipt of applications is 15 February each year.

Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children (SPDC)

1. 1. The Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs (MOIA) offers Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children (SPDC) to children/wards of Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Non-Resident Indian (NRIs) to pursue under graduate courses in several disciplines in India.
2. 2. Under the scheme, 100 PIO/NRI students are awarded scholarship of up to US$ 4,000 per annum for undergraduate courses in Engineering, Technology, Humanities, Liberal Arts, Commerce, Management, Journalism, Hotel Management, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and some other courses. 
3. 3. The scheme is open to NRIs/PIOs in Republic of Korea. Applications from the students who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria may be sent to the Embassy of India Seoul.
