India will host her first maritime summit. ‘Maritime India Summit 2016’ will be held at the Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre in Mumbai from April 14 to April, and Minister Kim Youngsuk will attend MIS 2016 as a presidential envoy. Maritime India Summit 2016 aims to connect India’s growth in manufacturing sectors, which has been boosted by Modi-nomics’, to the growth in maritime industry sectors such as shipping, port development and shipbuilding, and to attract foreign investment in India.
