‘Memory of India’- a photo exhibition launched at Indian Cultural Centre

A photo exhibition titled ‘Memory of India’ by Korean photographer Mr. Jo Jeol Kyu was launched at the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) on 6 May 2013. This exhibition chronicles the travels of Mr. Jo undertaken over a two month period beginning December 2012 and presents his unique and colourful perspective on mostly rural India.

2.        In his inaugural address, Ambassador Vishnu Prakash thanked Mr. Jo for his affection towards India, which was amply reflected in his photographs. Mr.Jo Jeol Kyu said that he was touched by the warmth he received from the Indian people, and that he intended to show the real India, representing optimism, diligence and joy.

3.        The exhibition ‘Memory of India’ runs till 18 May 2013 at the Indian Cultural Centre. The Indian Cultural Centre was set up in 2011 in Seoul. It offers regular Yoga and dance classes by highly qualified Indian instructors, besides Hindi language classes. Details may be viewed at http://indoculture.org/.
